Capacity Development of doctors on Childhood TB: an interactive training

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Magnitude of disease of childhood TB of your country and global
  • Suspect and diagnose TB in children on clinical ground
  • Investigate a case of TB in children with your resources
  • Treat and follow-up a case of TB (DS and MDR) in children

What’s involved?

  • Reading (individual, pair and group) and revision exercise with feedback
  • Group work and presentation
  • Practice: live and theoretical cases on childhood TB
  • Practical demonstration

How long will it take?

  • 8-10 sessions (30 minutes to 2 hourly)
  • 20-28 hours

Who is the course for?

This practical course is for everyone involved, or interested in, delivering health services to diagnose and treat childhood TB in developing country. It may be of interest to those working in or studying in paediatrics and infectious disease. Public health or personnel in National Tuberculosis Program.
